Bulte knurled thumb screws have conical extension

A Bulte Plastics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 18, 2009

Five models of knurled thumb screws with conical extension complement the range of Bulte plastic screws.

Suitable for all sectors of industry, the screws are suitable for manual assemblies.

The standard material is Polyamide (Nylon) which is resistant to various chemical products, has mechanical properties including wear resistance, low-friction coefficient, high melting point and good impact resistance, and is also very light.

The working temperature range is -30 to 100C.

Other materials are available on request, such as PP, PE and POM, recommended for food and medical qualities; or PA glass filled, which, with tensile strength and high rigidity is a suitable replacement for aluminium and zinc in tap parts.

The knurled thumb screws are available in M5, M6 and M8 (length from 6 to 60mm).

The standard colour is natural but parts can be supplied in range of colours to suit requirements.
