Finally wash the surface with a bucket of water; pressure hosing is neither necessary nor recommended.
There is no problem attached to releasing or washing the solution to drain in a controlled manner.
The process continues working, gobbling up the nasty hydrocarbons and converting them into environmentally friendly residues.
Meanwhile the treated surface is returned to its original pristine condition.
