UK-based Blazepoint and Canadian company Emcon (Emanation Control) are working together to develop, certify and manufacture Tempest protected equipment for secure processing, storage and communication of classified information.

The co-operation between the UK and Canadian organisations significantly enhances each partner's ability to address the global Tempest and wider defence markets in Europe and North America.

To mark the signing of the agreement a Gala event was hosted by Blazepoint/Emcon within the Canadian High Commission, London, England.

The event was attended by Government agencies and defence industry representatives and comprised an informal cocktail reception where guests were able to network with colleagues from industry and government.

Blazepoint's Chairman, Roger Wadsorth comments: "Recent high profile events across the world have highlighted the importance of data security and the need for vigilance".

"Partnering Emcon has significantly enhanced the Tempest solutions we can provide and is an important step in the Blazepoint business strategy".

Peter Doig, Managing Director of Emcon adds: "We wanted to increase our footprint in Europe and the products and services Blazepoint already offer fully complement our own range, this event has been an outstanding success and we look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with Blazepoint".
