The Shore 'A' Scale durometer boasts a large, easy to read digital display, a zero setting, preset value input options, and an auto display off facility.

To complement the company's growing range of material testing devices, Bowers Metrology has launched an ergonomic hand-held Shore A scale durometer.

Designed for the hardness testing of rubber, plastic, leather and a wide range of other soft materials, the new gauge has a 0.1mm resolution.

The robust, shop-floor proof tester boasts a large, easy to read digital display, a zero setting, preset value input options, and an auto display off facility, with all features easily accessed by a simple two-button operating system.

The cost-effective new Bowers tester is delivered with a reference block, a carrying case, an operation manual and a UKAS certificate.

The new unit has a convenient RS 232 data output facility, enabling test results to be downloaded to printers and computers.

Software and communication cables are available as optional accessories, as is a sturdy stand for bench-mounted operation.
