High-performance handheld gauge is claimed to be the ideal multifunction solution to surface roughness measuring tasks.

Encouraged by strong customer demand, CV Instruments, the innovative material-testing arm of the prolific Bowers Metrology Group, has recently launched an advanced new, menu operated, digital surface roughness tester, the CV TR-200.

Boasting a large, backlit graphics LCD, the high-performance handheld gauge is claimed to be the ideal multifunction solution to surface roughness measuring tasks as it is able to operate in an impressive 13 surface roughness parameters.

With a metric (micron) and imperial (micro-inch) measuring system and a display resolution of 0.001um/0.04uin, the new CV surface roughness tester has three optional cutoff lengths - 0.25, 0.8 and 2.5mm.

If required, an RS232 output allows all measured data to be downloaded to printers, computers etc.

The new CV instrument is supplied with Li-ion batteries, a battery charger, an Ra roughness test plate, a steel support for stand-alone use, a protection nosepiece and a tough carrying case.

Optional accessories include a wide range of pickups and extensions, a measuring platform, PC software and a TA220 printer.
