Modules reduce wiring of sensors and actuators

A B and R Industrial Automation Corp product story

I/O modules that handle distributed I/O signals from simple digital inputs to SSI encoders can be mounted directly on the machine or on a Din rail, and measure 17 by 8.1 by 3cm.

IP20 Compact I/O modules suit applications that handle distributed I/O signals, ranging from simple digital inputs to SSI encoders.

Available from B and R, the modules can be mounted directly on the machine or on a Din rail.

Size is 17 by 8.1 by 3cm (H x W x D).

The modules reduce wiring of sensors and actuators.

Discrete I/O signals are collected on the modules and transferred to the controller over a Fieldbus.

The system is for use in standard IP20 operating environments.

The modules already include signal adaptation for various purposes.

In addition to classic digital signals, there are modules that can handle rotational encoder evaluation, gate measurement, event counters or pulse width modulation.

Analogue modules are also supplemented with temperature inputs, strain gauge evaluation or resistance measurement.

In general, the Compact I/O system always provides the right I/O combination for each application.

Many variants are available from eight to 16 digital inputs and outputs up to Compact I/O modules that provide the customer with additional analogue inputs and outputs.

The modules are equipped with Can I/O interfaces or X2X Link.

This functionality expands the I/O backplane in the field.

The system can be combined with all B and R controller families and other components as desired.

This allows a customised and cost-effective automation architecture to be created for each application.
