Industrial PCs offer solid-state storage

A B and R Industrial Automation Corp product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 24, 2006

CompactFlash cards are available as an option on APC620 industrial PCs and panel PCs.

B and R offers CompactFlash cards as an option instead of hard disks for its APC620 industrial PCs and panel PCs.

This increases system availability considerably.

The mass memory media are extremely robust and can be obtained as industrial grade devices with 64Mbyte to 4Gbyte memory capacity.

All data can be stored, ranging from the operating system to the application and data records.

If separate areas for applications and data are required this is done by combining two CompactFlash cards.

A CompactFlash and hard disk combination is also possible as an alternative.

CompactFlash cards from B and R are thoroughly tested for all target systems and operating systems before being released.
