Automation specialist B and R recorded worldwide sales of Eur 190 million during 2005 compared with Eur 165 million reached in the previous year.

Automation specialist Bernecker + Rainer Industrie-Elektronik (B and R) based in Eggelsberg, Upper Austria achieved worldwide sales of Eur 190 million during 2005 compared with Eur 165 million reached in the previous year.

This corresponds to an increase of 15%.

Continued innovation and technologically advanced systems have made it possible for B and R to double revenue over the last five years.

B and R is currently second place in Europe when it comes to integrated automated solutions for manufacturing series machines, and this positive trend is continuing.

An increase in revenue of about 15% is also expected for each of the next few years.

To guarantee leading innovations, approximately 17% of the company's revenue is reinvested exclusively for research and development.

This success allows B and R to continue strengthening their position as a leader of innovative technology in the field of automation.

B and R USA has been contributing to B and R's worldwide success with continuous expansion in the US market.

The B and R Automation Distribution Partner Network was officially launched in 2002, and with the latest three partner companies Automation Solutions New England, AutomationSolutions Atlantic and Cates Control Solutions (CCS) signing in March 2006, B and R USA now has business relations with a total of 10 successful US distribution companies.

With 24 offices throughout the USA, covering a territory of more than 27 US states B and R is now truly there for its US customers locally.

Further expansion is under way and B and R US has set itself the ambitious goal to cover most US states with local representatives by the end of 2006.
