B and R reports total sales of Eur 235 million in 2006 compared with Eur 190 million reached in the previous year - an increase of 23%.

Automation specialist Bernecker + Rainer Industrie-Elektronik (B and R) has reported total sales of Eur 235 million in 2006 compared with Eur 190 million reached in the previous year.

This reflects an increase of over 23%.

During this time, the number of employees has increased to over 1500 worldwide.

Over 1000 of these employees work at B and R's headquarters in Eggelsberg, Austria, where the production, development, and administrative facilities are located.

"It allows us to consolidate our position as a leader in innovation and technology in the area of integrated automation", says Hans Wimmer, Managing Director at B and R.

This isn't simply a result of increased activity in the automation market; rather, it is based on increasing internationalisation and constant innovation.

B and R continues to invest approximately 18% of total sales in research and development.
