BandR's new presence in the Southwestern US will allow the company to introduce the BandR solution to new customers in strong regional industries like packaging, semiconductor and machine tools.

BandR USA has been contributing to BandR's worldwide success with continuous expansion in the US market.

The opening of BandR's new regional office in Los Angeles, CA in May 2007 sets another milestone for continued growth in sales and market share in the US.

BandR's new presence in the Southwest will allow the company to introduce the BandR solution to new customers in strong regional industries like packaging, semiconductor and machine tools.

A local presence allows BandR to provide better support to some large machine manufacturers in this region that are already using BandR technology for the development of their machine applications.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to grow BandR sales in the southern California sales territory" says Paxton Shantz, new BandR Regional Manager for the BandR office in Los Angeles, California.

BandR USA, based in Atlanta, Georgia, has continuously grown as a sales and support organisation through both direct sales offices and BandR's Automation Partner distribution network.

Further expansion is under way and BandR US has set itself the ambitious goal to cover most US States with local representatives by the end of 2008.

The Upper Austrian automation specialist Bernecker + Rainer Industrie-Elektronik (BandR) in Eggelsberg achieved total sales of Eur 235 million in 2006 compared to euro 190 million reached in the previous year.

This reflects an increase of over 23%.

During this time, the number of employees has increased to over 1500 worldwide.

Over 1000 of these employees work at BandR's headquarters in Eggelsberg, Austria, where the production, development, and administrative facilities are located.

BandR continues to invest approximately 18% of total sales in research and development.
