Fan-free operation, compact size, scalable power and economical ownership are the key features that provide machine manufacturers the highest level of flexibility.

The APC620 embedded is the latest addition to the range of industrial PCs from B and R.

The new unit is based on the Windows XP embedded operating system with a real-time extension, offering a minimal operating system size.

Options are available with Intel processors from Celeron M to Pentium M 1.4GHz, to offer scalable computing power.

Powerlink and CAN as well as the X2X remote backplane are provided onboard as fieldbus interfaces.

The CPU has 256Kbyte of battery-backed SRAM.

Like its big brothers, the APC620 has an integrated Smart Display Link that can be used to operate a remote line with four displays at distances up to 160m.

B and R reckons the APC family is the most innovative industrial PC generation on the market.
