Ultrasonic sensor sets up in seconds
The S18U Series of compact ultrasonic sensors features an advanced microprocessor design, pushbutton programming and bright diagnostic status LEDs located directly on the sensor housing.
Luminescence sensors aren't fooled by colour
The QL50 and QL55 self-contained luminescence sensors use a modulated ultraviolet LED to scan for luminescence in materials, and are not affected by colour or contrast shifts.
The P4 Omni provides 640 x 480 pixel resolution for accurate analysis at high speeds, and the P4 Omni 1.3 has 1280 x 1024 resolution for extra detail or extended sensing field of view.
"The P4 Omni offers a complete set of vision tools to solve thousands of inspection challenges", said Dan Holste, Banner's Director of Vision Products.
"One do-it-all sensor is extremely exciting for customers who want to add vision inspection technology to several processes of their operation".
"Users can quickly switch between applications without changing sensors".
The P4 Omni and P4 Omni 1.3 let users accurately solve many factory applications, including: establish that products are correctly oriented for robots to handle in an automatic feed work cell; eliminate rejects before they have been assembled or packaged; verify the presence and placement of all clips, bolts and nuts in an automotive trim panel; ensure the correct number of holes are punched into a sheet of metal; and provide traceability in assembly operations.
Several features make them easy to install and use.
They each deliver a more complete range of sensing and analysis tools.
Remote teach lets the sensors learn features to inspect for, without connecting to a PC or shutting down the production line.
A built-in live video output allows users to view the sensor's inspections in real time and to view failed inspection images without a PC.
The products interface to machinery or factory networks through a built-in 10/100 Ethernet connection or RS232 serial I/O.
They are available with two lens positions - in-line on the end of the housing and right-angle on the side of the housing.
Both measure 66.8mm wide; the in-line model is 136.1mm long, and the right-angle model is 124.5mm long.
The included mounting brackets attach the sensors to machines or conveyors.
The units include three bicolour LED indicators that show unit status during setup and operation.
Models operate on 10 to 30V DC.
There are hundreds of lighting and lensing options.
