Luminescence sensors aren't fooled by colour
The QL50 and QL55 self-contained luminescence sensors use a modulated ultraviolet LED to scan for luminescence in materials, and are not affected by colour or contrast shifts.
The SC22-3 features 22 input terminals, which monitor both contact-based and PNP solid-state input devices and each input circuit is configurable to monitor an input signal or provide 24V DC sources when needed.
The SC22-3 can be simply configured using Banner's intuitive PC Interface or the module's built-in LCD display and push buttons.
The SC22-3 dramatically reduces the time and complexity of interfacing multiple safety functions and devices by incorporating them into one easily configurable device.

One-piece sensor offers clear visual instructions
The PVD Series parts verification sensor features large bright green and red job lights that provide distinct visual cues to guide assemblers through a part picking sequence.
The controller's click-and-go system offers simple configuration for safeguarding functions right on a computer, through use of Windows XP or 2000 on a PC using a USB cable, or by using the XM card and programming tool.
The SC22-3's built-in front panel LCD screen and bright LED indicators provide status updates for simple monitoring and troubleshooting.
In addition, the SC22-3 meets industry standards including the Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 per IEC62061 and IEC61508 and Category 4 Performance Level (PL e) per ISO13849-1.
"The SC22-3 can easily replace several traditional safety modules by combining multiple safety and nonsafety device functions into one cost-effective and time-efficient device", said Mike Carlson, Technical Manager for Banner's safety products.
"The SC22-3 allows you to perform muting, bypassing and additional functions and provides exceptional diagnostics and the versatility to accommodate a wide range of input devices from Banner or other manufacturers".
"This safety controller ensures maximum safety while minimising installation and troubleshooting time, automatically detecting faulty devices or wiring configuration errors to help you quickly locate and clear faults in the system".
The SC22-3 is easily programmed using the PC interface or the controller's onboard interface by defining each device and assigning a combination of the three independent safety outputs for each device to control.
Users can quickly create and document even complex safety logic configurations, incorporating multiple safety inputs and outputs in minutes.
The SC22-3 also provides 14 types of safety and nonsafety input device category choices and several dual and single-channel circuit types can be used.
The SC22-3 safety controller is ideal for integrating into light curtains, muting functions, on/off switches and other safety and nonsafety input devices.
It is suited for guarding entry/exit points, operator load/unload applications and other applications where operator and machine safety is critical.
