A new linear convection gauge from BOC Edwards provides accurate and reliable high-pressure measurement up to atmospheric pressure.

A new linear convection gauge from BOC Edwards provides accurate and reliable high-pressure measurement up to atmospheric pressure Believed to be the smallest convection vacuum gauge on the market, the new APGX-H is designed to be used on its own, or in partnership with BOC Edwards' AIGX or other gauges, for the measurement and control of vacuum systems from atmosphere down to 6.6 x 10-10mbar (5 x 10-10Torr)

An industry standard in the USA, linear convection vacuum gauging technology is favoured widely for use in industrial and scientific vacuum equipment.

The BOC Edwards APGX-H uses a tungsten filament, which is chosen for its wide compatibility with various applications.

The compact design of the APGX-H just 56 x 56 x 75mm and unique ability to maintain its accuracy when mounted in any orientation, makes it ideal for a wide range of applications, even those where space is restricted.

The gauge has a linear output for straightforward integration into an OEM's or PLC system, or connection to a BOC Edwards control unit.

There are built-in diagnostics which warn of problems such as a broken filament, disconnected tube or calibration error.

"At a glance" local indication of set point and gauge status is given by LEDs in the gauge head.

BOC Edwards has designed the APGX-H gauge for maximum performance and minimum cost of ownership.

Measurement accuracy is +/-15% and repeatability is better that +/-5%.

The replaceable tube is fitted with a sintered bronze filter which reduces contamination of the filament substantially, especially in dirty or dusty processes.

Tubes are supplied precalibrated for quick and easy set up, and, because calibration data is held on the tube itself, re-calibration is simplified too.

The combination of BOC Edwards' active ion AIGX gauge and the new linear convection APGX-H offers a comprehensive and reliable measurement solution for a wide range of vacuum systems.

OEMs will appreciate the ease with which the gauges can be system-integrated, and end users will enjoy the consistently high measurement accuracy.

APGX-H has a measurement range of 1333 to 3 x 10-4mbar (1000 to 2.3 x 10-4Torr) and can be used in temperatures from five to 60C.
