BOC Edwards' new dry-vacuum pump system for use in areas classified as Zone 0 maintains maximum pumping speed even in continuously flammable atmospheres
Recent installations and operational results will be discussed.
The paper will be available from the publishers: Iron and Steel Society of USA.
In the area of ladle refining, recent advances in the degassing process utilising dry mechanical vacuum systems in place of liquid based water ring and/or steam ejector systems offer clear savings in running costs, maintenance costs, and installation space, and also offer increased speed, flexibility, and overall productivity to steel degassing operations.
The presenters will be examining recent operating experience and invite contributions and questions from the audience.
