BOC Edwards is extending its EM range of rotary vane vacuum pumps with a universal motor, suitable for use with US, European and Japanese supply voltages.

BOC Edwards is extending its EM range of rotary vane vacuum pumps with a universal motor, suitable for use with US, European and Japanese supply voltages.

As a result, international organisations can reduce stock, maintain continuity of product across facilities and run more efficient exchange or upgrade programmes.

The E1M18, E2M18 and E2M28 pumps are fitted with a switch inside the terminal box to select either a high or low voltage setting, enabling the pump to run at 115 and 208V for the USA, 200V for Japan and 220 to 230V for Europe.

The electrical connection to the pump uses an industry standard connector the EN60320 C19 (IEC320).

No additional wiring is required thereby providing a safe, error free supply connection.

The EM series is a range of rugged mechanical oil-sealed rotary vane pumps with speeds ranging from 0.7 to 28m3/h.

Compact and quiet, the pumps feature advanced lubrication circuits, high reliability, and accessories to suit a range of applications.

Predominantly used in scientific facilities with mass spectrometers, the pumps are also ideal for a variety of pharmaceutical, industrial, semiconductor and thin-film coating applications.
