Italian pharmaceutical company Phamacia has installed six BOC Edwards dry vacuum pumps equipped with flame arrestors, explosion-proof instruments and local control cabinets
The ADC is designed for use with BOC Edwards Active Pirani, Wide Range, Magnetron and strain gauges.
Its simple "plug and go" installation makes it ideal for integration into OEM equipment, such as vacuum ovens and furnaces, and for monitoring process vacuum in a wide range of laboratory and industrial end-user applications.
Units - pascals, millibars, torr or volts - are selected by the user via simple front-panel pushbutton controls, and the bright LED display gives clear, long distance readability.
The ADC's measurement range is 2000 to 10e-9 mbar.
In its standard version, the ADC is a simple display unit.
For applications that require data logging or control functionality, the ADC Enhanced has two set point relays, two analogue outputs and an RS232 interface.
These can be used to connect directly to a chart recorder or other logging device for customer records or quality control, for direct control of switches or other instruments, or for connection into a higher level control system such as a programmable logic controller (PLC) or PC-based control system.
Housed in a neat one-eighth-DIN enclosure, the ADC can be panel- or bench-mounted.
It complements the existing BOC Edwards range, giving customers a wide choice of analogue and digital displays and controllers for all applications.
