An Edwards product story

The HT16B offers the highest throughput and performance of any comparably sized vacuum pump.

BOC Edwards, leading vacuum pump manufacturer, has launched a new industrial diffusion pump, the HT16B.

The pump benefits from a machined cast aluminium interior for exceptional stability during operation and a stainless steel body to prevent corrosion and ensure cleanliness.

As a result, the HT16B provides consistent long-term performance and reliability.

The new heating installation further improves the ease of maintenance and the half-power energy saving mode helps to reduce running costs.

"Our aim was to provide manufacturers with a 'fit and forget' vacuum solution that is cost effective, reliable and easy to maintain", says Ian Phillips, Group Product Manager, BOC Edwards.

"Our customers are under increasing pressure to find ways to reduce both capital and operating costs whilst maintaining, and in many cases improving production".

The design of the interior and boiler assembly of the HT16B enables the pumps' performance and ultimate vacuum to be maintained between oil changes.

The new pump features a sight glass as standard to enable operators to easily check the oil level, with the pump either non operational or running, without disturbing the integrity of the vacuum system.

The HT16B offers the highest throughput and performance of any comparably sized pump.
