Boge Compressors has extended the training facility at its headquarters in West Yorkshire to include a dedicated practical "hands-on" training centre covering some 28m2 This facility will be utilised by distributor engineers enrolled on the in-house Boge Service Technician course

The comprehensive in-house Boge Service Technician courses, consists of four modules covering the range of Boge compressors and accessories.

Each training module consists of a mixture of hands-on and lecture style teaching.

As the training leads to a three-year Boge Service Technician certification, each module is rounded off with a written exam to affirm the engineers' knowledge and understanding.

The new training centre will provide enrolled engineers with the benefit of a greater hands-on learning experience.

As Chris Camsell, UK Service Manager, comments: "It has been our experience that delegates gain a more rounded understanding of material covered in the lecture when they get to put those principles into practice".

"The new training centre will afford more engineers the opportunity to practice material covered in the lectures and add great benefit to the overall training experience".

Stemming from the success of this in-house training course, introduced in 2004, Boge has been busy investing in the new training centre which will be in full use for all of the 2005 training sessions.

The training facility at Boge now boasts two dedicated spaces, a lecture room and the new practical training centre covering some 60m2 in total.

The new training centre provides for the running and commissioning of new compressors, for hands-on maintenance tasks as well as practical training in invertors.

The centre also boasts an online energy management system that provides a practical insight into the installation requirements as well as set up and control techniques.

"The response to this course has been overwhelming with a busy timetable planned for 2005 as a result".

"This will see over 100 of our distributor engineers come through the 'Boge training doors'".

"Building on feedback from courses held in 2004 we have reinforced the importance of the hands-on element of the training by investing in a dedicated practical training centre where the engineers will be able to practice the skills taught in the sessions".

"All engineers who successfully complete the training course are issued with an accredited ID badge that identifies them as a Boge Service Technician for a three-year period".

"Providing a comprehensive and professional training course is therefore a prerequisite".

Increasing the standard of education and training continue to be key issues for the industry and Boge continues to play its part, with education and training firmly on the agenda. Request free introductory details about products from Boge Compressors ...
