the UK

Geoff Taylor, Managing Director of the UK operation, has managed the business since January 1996.
He says: "When Boge came to the UK in 1995 they knew the challenge that lay ahead by starting out in one of Europe's largest markets when all the major brands were very well established".
"Nevertheless we were all excited by the Boge proposition and with a small and highly motivated team we introduced the award winning S series screw compressor range".
The S series was a new design and build product range from top to bottom.
The design concept embodied the very best in state-of-the-art thinking that incorporated key features like horizontal preseparation, a patented GM drive system and a self-learning electronic energy saving controller.
German design and manufacture provided the perfect quality proposition and Taylor's decision to introduce a free five year warranty (a UK first) not only underpinned the quality proposition but also differentiated and gave instant credibility.
The business grew rapidly from three UK sites and via a growing distribution network.
By the millennium the business had outgrown the Bromsgrove UK head quarters and it was decided to operate from the very much larger West Yorkshire Sales and Service Centre.
From modest beginnings in Bromsgrove, the UK team has grown to 30 people alongside a strong distributor network and in doing so placed Boge as a strong and respected force in the UK market.
The UK business is ISO9001 accredited and a member, and keen supporter, of The British Compressed Air Society.
The Boge group celebrates its centenary in 2007.
When Otto Boge founded the company in Germany all those years ago little did he realise that his great grandson would be guiding a still family run business, with a burgeoning second manufacturing plant in China and a global network of subsidiaries and strong business partners.
