Screw compressors offer energy efficiency

A Boge Compressors product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 18, 2006

Boge Compressors has further expanded the SLF range of energy efficient screw compressors which combine a direct coupled drive system with frequency control

Boge has launched three new models; the SLF51, SLF61 and SLF75 which now takes this range up to 75HP.

The Boge SLF direct coupled range integrates a built-in frequency converter which assures the smoothest possible transition from 25 to 100 percent output whilst maintaining the desired working pressure perfectly.

Changing the frequency also provides the added benefit of adjusting the airend speed to generate at 8, 10 and 13 bar pressures.

By operating the airend within its optimum efficiency and by changing the frequency converter the Boge SLF direct coupled range adapts the output to the actual demand whilst maintaining the desired pressure.

As a result, idling times and motor switches are avoided and tighter pressure bands can be set to assure energy saving efficiency.

Boge RATIO is a standard feature which ensures energy efficient control and respective operating parameters are clearly visible via an LCD display.

All models can be supplied with a built-in 3C dewpoint refrigerant dryer ensuring the compressor footprint is kept to a minimum.

The SLF/SLDF is available in the standard pressure of 8, 10 and 13 bar.

Output capacities range from 1.06 to 9.33m3/min, motor power 22 to 55kW.
