Reliable compressed air aids vehicle
disposal

An integral refrigerant dryer and screw compressor are neatly mounted on a horizontal compressed air receiver which keeps the space taken up by the SD20-RM750 to a minimum.

A Boge SD20-RM750 has been installed into a new vehicle disposal facility in West Yorkshire that is responsible for disposing up to 400 vehicles per week A minimal footprint, the free five-year warranty and ongoing service support were all factors in Rota West Yorkshire's selection of the Boge compressor

Rota West Yorkshire is responsible for the recovery and disposal of vehicles for the West Yorkshire Police as well as working closely with the Highway Authority, Kirklees, Calderdale and Leeds City Councils.

The need to dispose of anywhere from 300 to 400 vehicles per week created the need for Rota West Yorkshire to develop a new centre able to dispose of these vehicles in an environmentally sound way.

After consultation with Leeds City Council and the Environmental Agency, Rota West Yorkshire recently built this new facility.

Compressed air is at the heart of the whole operation.

It is used to run the air tools which strip the vehicles, as well as operate the system which finally crushes the vehicles.

John Green, the Chairman of Rota West Yorkshire said; "Not only did we feel confident with the Boge compressor but there was an entire local service and support package available".

The Boge SD20-RM750 offers the user a complete and compact compressed air centre.
