Boiswood, the specialist distributor of components for gas and liquid control, is now supplying the Setra Model 239 pressure transducer and Model C239 pressure transmitter.

Both are specifically designed for high accuracy measurement of low pressure in applications such as HVAC controls, energy management, leak detection, clean rooms and medical instrumentation.

Setra's variable capacitance sensors are designed to be simple and reliable, using a stainless steel diaphragm and an insulated electrode to form a variable capacitor.

As pressure increases or decreases the capacitance changes and is detected and converted to a linear D.C.

electrical signal by Setra's unique electrical circuit.

The Model 239 transducer provides a high level 0 - 5 or 0 - ñ2.5 volt output and the C239 transmitter provides a 4 - 20 mA current output.

The sensor electrode acts as a stop for the diaphragm to achieve a high degree of positive overpressure protection.

The high-level output signals, excellent long-term stability and fast dynamic response (10 milliseconds) make these transducers and transmitters ideal for a wide range of industrial, laboratory and aerospace applications.
