Boiswood, the specialist distributor of components for gas and liquid control, is now supplying the new Furon HPV (High Performance Valve) from St Gobain Performance Plastics, an injection-moulded PFA valve that adds critical new advantages to the reliability of Furon's range of Integrated Manifolds.
The valve, which adds to the fluid handling purity and safety of Furon's Integrated Manifolds, features a visual position indicator that shows at a glance whether the valve is open or closed.
The indicator, which also supports fibre optic position indication, is completely encased by a transparent housing, that allows easy viewing while creating an air-tight, leak-proof seal to protect it from atmospheric exposure.
The body of the HPV is constructed of high-purity, durable injection moulded PFA and was designed to provide an easy drop-in replacement for existing valves in Furon manifold systems.
The Furon Integrated Manifold System offers excellent efficiency, cleanliness and fail-safe performance in modular fluid handling applications.
Its unparalleled design flexibility offers virtually limitless combinations of valves in a single, space-saving package.
Furon Integrated Manifolds and valves are produced and tested in a dedicated clean room under strict guidelines, to ensure that they meet the semiconductor industry's most stringent purity requirements.
They also offer many benefits that contribute to higher efficiency with lower total system costs.
Typical applications include aerospace, appliances, automotive, biotechnology, chemical processing, construction, dairy/food/beverage, document-processing equipment, laboratory, pharmaceutical and semiconductor processing.
