Boiswood is now supplying the Simco Guardian CR2000 overhead Ionising air blower, which is designed specifically for use in critical cleanroom applications in the disc drive industry to protect even the most sensitive electronic components.

The Guardian CR2000 features a patented circuit that provides a balanced delivery of positive and negative ions, which ensures that it is inherently balanced to 0 +/-5V.

Balance stability is further enhanced by using Simco's unique "ion shield" at the fan outputs to reduce parasitic ion loss.

To ensure cleanroom compatibility the Guardian CR2000 uses carefully selected components and materials.

All fan and air bearing surfaces are manufactured free of silicones.

Fan assemblies are 100% run-in and particle-tested to Class 10 (209E; ISO class 4) particle limits.

The Guardian CR2000 is also equipped with Simco's patented built-in emitter point cleaners and a lockout switch to prevent tampering with a required performance level.

A built-in monitor and an outlet to daisy chain up to 10 units are also standard.

Where some overhead ionisers link to an external device to provide real-time monitoring, the Guardian CR2000 has sophisticated internal monitoring circuitry, which confirms that the unit is ionising and that the balance circuit is functioning.
