The CPX range of programmable pressure switches is designed for extremely diverse OEM pressure applications.

New from Bourdon-Haenni, the CPX range of programmable pressure switches is designed for extremely diverse OEM pressure applications Based on ceramic sensor and microprocessor technology, the CPX is fully programmable via serial link (RS232) from a PC

The "Softlink" graphics software allows easy user setting of the dual switching points and threshold states, threshold time delay and individual switch zero pressure state (NO or NC).

The switches are specifically designed to meet the needs of OEM markets like production machine equipment, rail-vehicles, hydraulic and pneumatic units, compressors, presses, lifting devices, agricultural machinery, water treatment and distribution etc.

Protected by an AISI 316L stainless steel housing, the CPX provides IP65 protection and is compliant with the EMC Directive 89/336/EC and Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC.

The CPX will operate on a supply of 10 to 60V DC with a low 3mA power consumption and has reverse polarity and short circuit protection.

Threshold accuracy of 0.5, repeatability of 0.2%, fluid temperature range of -20 to +100C plus digitally programmed setpoint make this the perfect choice for many applications previously using mechanical switches.

Electrical output on the standard version is via a 5-pin M12 plug with 2, 5 or 10m extension cable options if required.

A DIN43650 plug is available as an option, but unfortunately due to the lack of connection pins this does reduce the number of setpoints to only one.

For maximum OEM flexibility, the unit is available with five different hydraulic connections, including the usual 0.25 and 0.5in BSP and NPT formats.

Pressure ranges are available from 0 to 600bar absolute or -1 to 600bar gauge, and can be supplied preset to customer specifications or unset, ready for customer specific programming.

The CPX joins the Bourdon-Haenni range of high-performance pressure, temperature, force, level and acceleration switches and sensors.
