FlexTop versions 2211, 2221 and 2231 allow the input to be configured for a resistance thermometer as well as for thermocouples, resistance sensors and current or voltage signals.
The built-in temperature sensor or a remote Pt100 sensor can be used to compensate for cold junctions (CJC) if thermocouples are connected.
The universal transmitters have a galvanic isolation between input and output.
The FlexTop 2201, 2211 and 2221 can be configured with the FlexProgrammer 9701.
The HART protocol of the FlexTop 2221 enables online process calibration and adjustment, transmitter configuration and multiple process control in two-wire networks.
With the FlexTop 2231, these functions are carried out with the Profibus communication.
It is fully configurable via Simatic PDM software.
The FlexTop is embedded in silicone rubber and therefore resistant to humidity.
ATEX approval means that all models are suitable for applications in hazardous areas.
Baumer's FlexTop is also available in an OEM version with the customer's name, logo and type number.
Alternatively, the transmitters can be supplied for DIN-rail mounting.
