Redditch based power transmission supplier appoints Managing Director to head its industrial division, and organise and drive the business forward in a controlled way.
Redditch based power transmission supplier Bonfiglioli UK has appointed a new Managing Director to head its industrial division.
Mike McCann hopes to organise and drive the business forward in a controlled way, by providing products for the industrial and distribution markets, from the position of Bonfiglioli as the market leading Italian gear-box manufacturer and Europe's fourth largest supplier.
McCann joins Bonfiglioli with a pedigree of industry experience dating back to the mid 1970s when he served with Simplatroll and Brown Pestell.
From there he went on to David Brown as Sales Director before moving to Sumitomo as MD for European operations.
He was also Vice Chairman of the British Gear Association between 2003 and 2004.
Already McCann is making his mark by strengthening the relationship with main distributor APT of Hemel Hempstead.
Guidelines have been laid down so that clarity exists for the route to market for Bonfiglioli products.
End users and the distribution market will be supplied and serviced directly by APT.
Bonfiglioli will deal with all OEM business from the Redditch branch.
The UK market leading mobile business of Bonfiglioli continues to be headed by the Warrington based MD John Adair.
