Labels ease compliance with hazchem rules

A Brady Labs product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 26, 2009

Brady is helping companies to minimise disruption and stay ahead of legislation by launching a range of hardwearing labels that conform to the regulations of a UN scheme.

The GHS (Globally Harmonised System), for classification and labelling of chemicals, is to be introduced in 2010.

It is designed to provide a single method to identify and label all chemicals across the world, for their safe handling, transportation and disposal, and will replace the many different systems and classifications currently in use.

The symbols are now available as a complete range in roll and card format, and also as additional downloadable software for Brady's range of printers, including the Handimark, Minimark, Globalmark and Powermark.

All of the GHS labels are made from high-quality, durable B-7541 and add to the wide range of hazardous material identification available in the Brady portfolio.

Users of Brady Markware can download a patch directly into the Markware directory to access the symbols, which are contained in an easy-to-recognise diamond shape.
