Jekyll Electronic Technology is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its successful Telemodem intelligent line-powered modem.
To celebrate, the company is offering a Telemodem2 to any industry user who wants to experience the benefits of an instant remote communications link and zero power operation.
Launched in 1992, the Telemodem made an immediate impact on remote telemetry applications.
It quickly found its way into utility AMR (automatic meter reading) applications, where internal mains power to electricity, gas or water meters is often not available.
Along with the benefits of telephone line power, added intelligence enables remote data collection from any metering equipment where a V24 data port is available.
Even optical data ports have been catered for.
Other low power applications to benefit include traffic monitoring, weather stations and environmental monitoring.
