Jekyll Electronic Technology has appointed a new distributor in Malaysia - EMS Technologies.

Based in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, EMS Technologies will supply and support the complete range of automated meter reading (AMR) products from Jekyll.

EMS's aim is to provide Malaysian utility companies with a cost effective way to achieve effective and error free automated meter reading using the Jekyll solutions based on PSTN, GSM and GPRS technologies.

Already, EMS has implemented a state wide automatic meter reading system at the Selangor Water Works.

This is the first Malaysian utility to have such a system installed.

"We were particularly impressed with the engineering expertise within the company", says Brian Wainwright, Sales and Marketing Engineer at Jekyll.

"EMS Technologies place a great deal of importance on customer care and understand that customer service is more than looking after systems, it is about building long-term relationships".

"The existing success with Selangor Water Works proves this already".
