Software provides utilities and commercial and industrial companies with an affordable and well-supported application to cost-effectively and efficiently collect data from utility meters.

Jekyll Electronic Technology announces the launch of PrimeRead, a multivendor, multinetworking application for automatic meter data collection.

This new software provides utilities and commercial and industrial companies with an affordable and well-supported application to cost-effectively and efficiently collect data from utility meters.

PrimeRead serves as a data warehouse for incoming data from other information systems and public utilities, while its open architecture allows data exchange with other corporate information systems including billing, operations, customer information systems (CIS) and SCADA.

Simple to install and set up, PrimeRead is significantly cheaper than other automatic meter reading software (AMRS) and has no back compatibility issues, working equally well with new or existing legacy systems.

PrimeRead is packed full of features that give users the capability to automatically collect data from all major manufacturers' electricity, water or gas meters.

Six versions are available, depending on when, where and how data is to be used.

From the top-of-the-range Enterprise that is designed and developed for daily data collection requirements from a large number of meters to the PrimeRead Express for single meter point collection, there is a product to suit all requirements.

Also included in the range is the PrimeRead Pocket for data collection with a PDA and PrimeRead Mobile for on-site data collection using optical probe or serial port connection.

PrimeWeb allows users to port data directly to the internet.

With an intuitive interface, user-defined fields can be set up for individual customers and metering devices.

Information such as load profile, registers, events, power quality and display data can be downloaded with different time frequencies for the same meter or for different meters.

A validation module has also been developed and is an option for users who are specifically concerned about the reliability of their data.

In this module, users define expected value ranges or profiles for combinations of meters, variables and time intervals.

Use of the Primestone PrimeRead products is on a scalable licence, based on the number of meter point being read.

All users and functionality are included n the final price.
