The new guide provides a handy reference, helping engineers to address the widespread problem of bearings that fail and are then removed and replaced quickly without adequate levels of analysis into what caused their failure.

As a result, damaging failures are most likely to occur again, leading to further expensive unscheduled downtime.

Fully illustrated with detailed drawings and large colour photographs, the guide assists engineers to identify and analyse the twelve most common causes of bearing failure.

The characteristics of each failure mode are described in detail and close-up photographs showing the resultant damage are also provided.

These are complemented by advice on what corrective measures need to be adopted to prevent further occurrences of the same type.
