The British Gear Association's on-line shop which opened its doors in October now enables customers to buy goods 24 hours a day, 364 days of the year using all major credit cards.

Visitors are able to buy from the shop in five currencies and the products are viewable in all major languages.

Mr Amajit Marwaha, Chairman of the BGA's Marketing Committee, said the on-line shop had been developed to enable the association to promote and sell its technical expertise, which included commercial reports, software, seminars and other items on-line worldwide.

To facilitate this, the BGA has chosen the largest card acquirer in the UK, NatWest, and their e-commerce partner WorldPay, claimed to be the UK's largest internet payment service provider.

The BGA on-line shop has been built using WordPay software to minimise payment security concerns.

"As with all initiatives and activities throughout the BGA, the on-line shop has been put in place to specifically help members become more competitive", added Mr.Marwaha.
