Over 50 delegates attended a spiral bevel gear seminar organised by the British Gear Association.

The seminar, at the Doncaster site of BGA member Graziano Transmissioni was organised by Wright Manufacturing Services.

The fundamental aspects of spiral bevel gears, including design and manufacture, were presented to delegates by Mr Heinz Eder, of Oerlikon Geartec AG, Switzerland.

He also covered the latest developments and practical applications in spiral bevel gear production and the day was completed with an interesting site visit.

Mr Tony Gibson, a senior manager at the Graziano Transmissioni site, welcomed the delegates to the plant and he and his staff ensured that the day ran smoothly.

BGA Chief Executive Mr Tom Lynch said he was delighted with the full turnout for this event.

"The BGA has always endeavoured to provide relevant education through its technology transfer programme.

"The seminar was an excellent example where delegates could learn and discuss technical matters with others in the industry", he added.
