Stresstech Group specialises in providing instruments for manufacturing quality control, and has recently joined the British Gear Association Stresstech's process uses a Barkhausen noise analysis (BNA) nondestructive technique to evaluate residual stresses and microstructural changes in steels
It is applicable to control grinding, heat treatment and shot peening processes on products such as bearings, gears, camshafts, crankshafts, valves and landing gear.
The results are used for adjusting production parameters to reduce production waste and cost and are effective tools in the study of material properties and development of new components, processes and solutions.
