PIV Drives, part of Brevini Riduttori, offers helical, bevel helical and spiral bevel gearboxes, designed to provide high performance, reliability and flexibility in heavy-duty mining applications.
The power transmission products manufactured by PIV Drives are said to be proven in all areas of mining operations including excavation, bulk materials handling and ship loading.
PIV's modular range of Posired 2 precision helical and bevel-helical gear units are for use in main drives, travel drives, conveyor drives and lifting gear.
Offering output torques up to 800,00Nm, Posired 2 is a modular system embracing a small nucleus of parts that can be assembled in various combinations to provide optimised power transmission solutions, both standard and bespoke.
Posired 2 systems can act as the main drive systems for large outdoor bulk material conveyors, bucket elevator drives, mixer drives and hoisting drives on container cranes and overhead gantry cranes.
Other PIV products include Posirex and Positwin for high thrust loads in the plastic and rubber industry.
Posiross LN gearboxes are used in the packaging and printing industry.
The PIV products complement the range of planetary gear products offered by Brevini.
