Adjustable bypass improves vent dryer

A Brownell product story

Vent dryer comes with an adjustable bypass, which allows dried and atmospheric air to enter the storage tanks at a safe relative humidity, making it suitable for short term storage.

Brownell has introduced the Extended Life Vent Dryer to protect materials against contamination by moisture and condensation.

Many materials stored in tanks and vessels can adsorb moisture which can adversely affect the materials properties including loss of viscosity and increased corrosiveness.

Sub zero temperatures can also cause ice and crystallisation within the system.

The vent dryer comes with an adjustable bypass, which allows dried and atmospheric air to enter the storage tanks at a safe relative humidity.

This makes it suitable for short term storage.

The adjustable air bypass provides adsorbent life of between 25% and 75% of the duty cycle.

The dryer can be filled with various adsorbent products, including indicating silica gel, molecular sieve, activated alumina and activated carbon.

The adsorbent can be monitored using the viewing window to check saturation activity.

The dryer is simple and quick to install, with a direct connection being made to an existing breather or vent pipe.

The desiccant can be regenerated to reduce system downtime and maintenance schedules.
