Breathers do a double act for protection

Reservoir breathers use two adsorbents to protect system fluids from the deteriorating effects of high humidity and water vapour condensation.

New from Brownell, Sentinel reservoir breathers use two adsorbents to more effectively protect system fluids from the deteriorating effects of high humidity and water vapour condensation Ideal for protecting reservoirs, fluid storage, hydraulic accumulators, gearboxes and transmission drives, these advanced breathers have a robust plastic construction to suit harsh working environments

They ensure correct plant functioning and the smooth operation of servo systems and hydraulic cylinders by maintaining fluid stability and consistency of properties such as viscosity and consistency.

The two adsorbents used in combination are silica gel and activated carbon.

Water vapour is adsorbed by the silica gel, which changes colour when saturated to clearly signal the need for recharging or replacement.

The activated carbon prevents exhaust vapours, system reaction byproducts and outgasing being released into the working environment.

A range of threaded and pipe adapters is offered to suit most installation applications. Request a free brochure from Brownell ...
