units
Bryant Broadcast and Data Communications has installed further machining centres to speed the manufacture of steel and aluminium cases for its power distribution units.
Bryant Broadcast and Data Communications has installed further state of the art CAD/CAM machining centres to speed the manufacture of steel and aluminium cases for the thousands of power distribution units that leave the factory each year bound for broadcast and IT systems integrators, office furniture makers, electrical contractors and installers, and 100V line users The new machines assure the flexibility, responsiveness and ex stock availability that lead power unit buyers repeatedly to Bryant - one of few manufacturers to have total control of the manufacturing/assembling/wiring process in-house

A new surge arrester offers protection against the massive, transient overvoltages believed to be responsible for over 30 per cent of all damage to electronic equipment.
Keep tabs on blown fuses in motor controls
The new OFM electronic fuse monitor has been developed by ABB Control to provide increased safety and faster repairs for three-phase motor control centres
Individually fused designs of mains distribution systems and 19in, 1U rack power units, are available for horizontal and vertical mounting, with mains power line RF filtering; with or without power input leads attached; 13A, IEC320 and international plugs and sockets; MCB or RCBO protected, 'always on' or 'always' off neon fuse indicators or thermal circuit breakers; 'high in-rush' mains on switches or indicators, Ackermann flexible conduits, chassis ground terminal posts and outlet IEC plug retaining kits or cable tie bars.
All units are internally wired 20A, with shrouded terminals and earth bonding to BBC specifications, are PAT tested for earth continuity and can be 'badged' or silk screened to customer requirements.
The flagship power unit for function critical applications is a 1U rack mount, microcontroller based, 'changeover' mains unit with two IEC inputs and 10 outputs - ideal for racks containing equipment without the individual facility for two input supplies.
This unit is designed to maintain the functionality of a rack by switching it to a live, homogenous back up in the event of the preferred mains failing.
Bryant's latest, fully priced catalogue is now available and can be ordered from the company's website.
