Up to 38% more roller bearing load
capacity
The installation, disassembly and maintenance benefits of the Cooper split roller bearings are now available from BSL in a package that offers up to 38% more roller bearing load capacity
The unique installation, disassembly and maintenance benefits of the Cooper split roller bearings are now available from BSL in a higher capacity package that offers up to 38% more roller bearing load capacity, or a 3 times improvement in L10 bearing life, with no dimensional increase The enhanced capacity of the E Series is the result of an internal redesign that has achieved an increase in radial load capacity of 30% (average) and an axial load rating increase of 20% (average)

Instant seal gasket straight-from-the-can
The costly downtime incurred waiting for the delivery of cut gaskets, or in sourcing special types, can be avoided with Loctite's new Black Tite, straight-from-the-can instant seal gasket.
These improvements have been realised with a construction that employs a prefabricated steel cage and an increased number of longer and larger rollers.
The overall effect of these design changes is to allow OEM's to specify a more cost effective bearing with a longer operational life.
In many applications the cost effectiveness aspect is underlined by the ability to specify the lighter duty 01EB bearing rather than the current 02B.

Lubricant extends chain life on overhead conveyors
Chain life on overhead conveyors can be extended, and product contamination minimised, with new Foodlube Overhead Chain Fluid, the latest addition to BSL's Rocol range
Added to this are the increased safety margins resulting from the bearings' general ability to handle higher loads.
The adoption of a prefabricated steel cage is the key to the integration of a greater number of larger rollers.
It also offers the added bonus of enabling the E Series bearings to be applied in high temperature applications, replacing more expensive gunmetal cages.
In addition, the use of steel instead of aluminium makes the new E Series the prime candidate for use in underground applications.
Another major feature of the new E Series is the elimination of cage jointing clips.
Clever engineering means that the E Series cage halves simply clip together and are retained by a locating dimple in the cage.
This adds to the maintenance and operating economies of the bearings, making the E Series the first choice for cost-conscious plant managers and original equipment manufacturers alike.
The capability of the E Series design is such that the seals will always remain concentric with the shaft, effectively preventing the ingress of abrasive or corrosive materials.
A comprehensive range of sealing solutions is available to suit specific applications and operating conditions.
The new E Series units offer complete dimensional inter-changeability with existing Cooper 01 Series bearings, and fit directly into existing housings.
Consequently, there is no requirement to re-machine shafts or housing mountings to install the higher rated bearings into existing plant and machinery.
The first batch of the new E Series bearings is available from over 100 BSL Sales Branches nation-wide, in sizes from 50mm through to 105mm.
The bearings are available for both EX (expansion) and GR (fixed) versions to suit both metric and imperial shafts.
