Following internal restructuring, Bosch has established a new business arm, called Bosch Motors and Controls, to facilitate the sale of DC electric motors, sensors and relays for nonautomotive applications.

The business, formerly based at Leicester under the name of VPIN, has now been relocated to Bosch's UK headquarters at Denham, Middlesex.

David Anderson, Sales and Marketing Manager for Bosch technical products, who is responsible for developing the new business said: "Bosch has a long history of providing motors and electrical systems for vehicles, where reliability, durability and safety of operation are paramount.

Each product in our motors and controls portfolio has been built to Bosch's renowned high standards and offers incredible versatility for machine builders and design engineers".

Bosch motors, sensors and relays have been used in hospital equipment, automatic door and blind systems, agricultural equipment and industrial, logistics and manufacturing drive applications.

They are equally suitable for water pumping and HVAC installations.

Catalogues of the product ranges will be released shortly.
