Veness is new BPMA President

John Veness, Managing Director of HMD Sealless Pumps, has been appointed President of the British Pump Manufacturers' Association.

John Veness, Managing Director of HMD Sealless Pumps (part of the Sundyne Group) has been appointed President of the British Pump Manufacturers' Association (BPMA).

Veness will serve a two-year term of office, succeeding John Thorne of ITT Industries who has recently retired from the post.

The BPMA has over 70 members and represents the interests of UK suppliers of liquid pumps and pumping equipment.

Its members account for approximately 85% of the GBP 900 million plus UK market for pumps, and in addition are net exporters.
