The British Stainless Steel Association and the Institute of Materials have teamed up with other industry partners to offer a workshop entitled 'So you want to build it in stainless steel!'.
In addition to providing summaries of the main standards applicable to different stainless steel products, the "Blue guide" contains a range of other useful information, including conversion tables, a summary buyers' guide and a list of technical articles available on the BSSA website.
Specific standards encompassed with a list of abbreviations include: British Standards BSEN Series; comparative international steel grades; British Standards BS Standards; British Standards Aerospace Series; and British and American standards for stainless steel products.
Duncan Munro the Director of the BSSA commented: "It is 14 years since the last guide to stainless steel specifications was published.
We are confident that this edition, which has been updated to include an extensive range of essential information, will quickly become an indispensable resource".
The standard price of this informative guide is GBP 15 (GBP 13.50 for BSSA members), plus packaging and postage.
