Alan Ball MBE, the youngest member of England's 1966 World Cup winning team, will be the guest speaker at the Annual Dinner of the British Stainless Steel Association, on 17th November 2005.

Alan Ball MBE, the youngest member of England's 1966 World Cup winning team, will be the guest speaker at the Annual Dinner of the British Stainless Steel Association [BSSA], on Thursday 17th November at the Stratford Manor Hotel near Stratford-on-Avon, UK.

During his outstanding career, Alan Ball won a host of honours, including 72 England caps.

In 1966, his transfer fee of £110,000 to Everton was a British record.

He played in two FA Cup Finals and one League Cup Final, but was on the losing side on each occasion, although he was a member of the Everton team, which won the Football League title in 1970.

His speech reminiscing over such an eventful career promises to be particularly revealing and humorous.

Priority to attend this Dinner will be given to delegates attending the full BSSA Conference earlier in the day, the theme of which is 'Stainless Steel - Converting Opportunities into Reality'.
