Autogard has introduced a new generation of compact torque limiters designed with the flexibility to accommodate larger torque ranges than most models currently available.
The Type 320 is able to provide a greater working range by using coil spring technology in place of conventional regressive disc springs.
The innovative design also allows the torque band to be changed by changing the coil springs and the coil springs to be changed or inspected without removing the unit from the shaft.
Other benefits of the design include fine adjustment and guaranteed repeatability over an extended operating life.
The Type 320 has been designed to offer exceptional value for money for applications from 5 Nm to 1,500 Nm and shaft diameters up to 65 mm.
Cone clamp shaft mountings and backlash-free construction make it ideal for servo and other power transmission applications.
Its compact dimensions also reduce weight and inertia on the drivetrain.
Versions are available to suit most drive media, including V belt pulleys, sprockets and timing belt pulleys, and can be supplied with SamiFlex (elastic) or Autoflex (metal membrane) flexible couplings.
Type 320 torque limiters are suitable for a wide range of power transmission applications including printing, packaging, plastic moulding and processing machinery, materials handling equipment, etc.
