Tools reduce RSI risk

A Buck and Hickman product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 18, 2007

The composite body housing of Roebook air tools provides light weight and a nonslip feel during use.

A new range of Roebuck professional air tools have been ergonomically designed to help reduce RSI from vibration.

The range is available exclusively from BuckHickman InOne.

The new range features an ergonomic composite body housing.

This provides superior comfort and strength, a nonslip feel during operation and is very lightweight.

Products in the range include three impact wrenches, three ratchet wrenches, two random orbital sanders, a hammer drill and three mini die grinders.

The tools have a twin-hammer mechanism which provides more power and smooth balanced blows while the handle exhaust directs air away from the operator and work piece.

Each tool has an energy efficient motor for maximum performance and long life.

The ratchet wrenches are compact and lightweight, making them ideal for confined working areas.

Fast run down speeds up tightening and a durable head design provides a long life.

Two 152mm diameter random orbital sanders are available in nonvac and self-generated vac versions.

Both models feature a built in power regulator for optimised power control.

The hammer drill has a T grip handle design with an over moulding grip for comfort and reduced vibration.

A feather trigger gives the operator precise control and a quick-change tool retainer provides a simple and fast accessory change over.

The tool is supplied in a heavy-duty tool case with five assorted chisels.

Finally, the three mini die grinders are available in a straight, 90-degree and extended handle design.

All models have a 6mm collet chuck, rubber grip body for operator comfort and rear air regulator.

BuckHickman InOne's Product Manager, Graham Blackburn said "This new range of air powered tools has been designed very much with the operator in mind, they are lightweight yet powerful".

"Each has been designed with its function in mind".

The Roebuck brand is exclusive to BuckHickman InOne and offers a range of over 23,000 tools, maintenance and health and safety products.

Roebuck products are designed for professional users working in demanding industrial environments.
