Engineers at Davey Water Products use CFdesign to refine flow passages within the Silensor water cooled pool pump, yielding a 15% efficiency increase.

Davey Water Products has integrated CFdesign upfront CFD software into its product development process.

Davey, a part of GUD Holdings, is one of the Asia-Pacific region's leading developers, manufacturers and marketers of pumps and water products.

"At Davey we are devoted to lean processes that insure every pump delivers the quality, reliability and performance our customers need and expect", explains Mark Lance, Davey's Engineering Manager.

"After extensive evaluations, we confirmed CFdesign is the right CFD tool for Davey because it empowers our engineering team with a digital platform for comprehensive tradeoff studies before we enter the physical testing phase".

"This means better products get to market faster".

One of Davey's newest products, the Silensor water cooled pool pump, was developed with the aid of CFdesign.

Davey engineers used the software to refine flow passages within the pump, yielding a 15% efficiency increase and an average energy cost savings of $100 per year for the customer.
