Geometry changes made within OneSpace modelling are automatically reflected in CFdesign without any translation or conversion process.

Blue Ridge Numerics has announced CFdesign up front CFD support for CoCreate's 3D product development platform, CoCreate OneSpace modelling As an integrated and fully associative extension of CoCreate OneSpace modelling, CFdesign is an interactive 3D flow bench and thermal test rig, which provides electronic and mechanical design engineers with critical insight into product performance early on in the design process, cutting development time and dramatically reducing the amount of physical prototyping and testing required

The ability to conduct extensive trade-off studies up front in the process leads to substantial downstream benefits including increased quality and innovation while reducing time to market, cost of goods sold (COGS) and warranty exposure.

Geometry changes made within OneSpace modelling are automatically reflected in CFdesign without any translation or conversion process, eliminating the time-consuming and confusing process of creating and managing multiple geometry models during a project lifecycle.

With CFdesign there is always only one product model and it is updated and managed within the CoCreate environment.

"We hold the CoCreate team in high regard and we are very pleased to deliver the first up front CFD solution for OneSpace modelling customers", states Blue Ridge Numerics President Ed Williams.

"Those companies engaged in the development of high-tech electronics and machinery will particularly stand to benefit from our collaboration".

CoCreate CEO William Gascoigne adds: "Blue Ridge Numerics develops easy to understand and easy to implement simulation tools to support the design engineering phase of PLM".

"We view CFdesign as synergistic with CoCreate's 3G PLM approach to enable companies to achieve a new level of success in adopting lean product development, and reaping its benefits".
