Tiny sensor expands its range
A new miniature inductive sensor with 3mm diameter stainless-steel housing gives a unprecedented rated operating distance of 3mm.
A new miniature inductive sensor with 3mm diameter stainless-steel housing gives a unprecedented rated operating distance of 3mm Extra sensing range provides substantial new application flexibility to production lines and associated OEM production machinery designs by allowing smaller sensors to be mounted further away from any collision, thus increasing available machine space and eliminating down time due to mechanical sensor damage

Linear transducers now have integrated Profibus-DP
Micropulse magnetostrictive linear transducers from Balluff-MultiSwitch are now available with integrated Profibus-DP, and automatic baud rate detection by the transducer assures trouble-free startup
Fully self-contained, the sensors include indication LED, short circuit protection and stainless steel housings in a package with an overall length of only 33mm.
This length is reduced to 27mm for a similar sensor with 1mm range that can be mounted flush in steel for extra protection.
Applications include use for robot grippers, semiconductor and electronic industry usage, in-die sensing use, and any application that requires multiple sensors within a very small area.
